For each page, regions of interest (RoI) are defined. A region of interest is a part of the page that contains visual or content related information particularly salient and interesting for the comprehension or that can attract the subject’s attention. The analysis of eye movements will compute quantitative parameters for the whole page and for each RoI.
In our experiments all the RoIs defined for each case study constitute the independent variables.
The RoIs defined are:

• Title
• Text
• Figures
• Links and Navigation Tree
