While from a student’s point of view:

  • a LCMS allows to select and to exchange Learning Objects making them adequate to the student prerequisites and to the delivery conditions in order to gratify immediately the student him/herself;
  • a student not only obtains the didactical content when s/he needs it (just-in-time-learning) but also s/he has the possibility to obtain just the needed portion of it (just-enough learning).
  • Thanks to the presence of indexing formalisms (metadata) standardized, shareable and therefore interoperable amongst different systems (e.g. between LMS and LCMS) and thanks to collaborative filtering of students accessing the services, a LCMS allows a student to personalize his/her formative process according to his/her needs and preferences.
